Lilian Kanu known as Lily is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter and worship leader who hails from Imo state. The second of three siblings born to Mr and Mrs Guy and Beatrice Kanu. She majored in English Language at Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.

Lily developed interest in music at the tender age of four when she joined the children choir in her local church. At age 8, she joined the Young Musicians Club (Y.M.C) as a lead singer. By age 13, she joined her local church adult choir; ‘Fountain of praise’ and has been singing ever since.

Tope Sax Adesanwo released his first album in 2005 titled Back to the Hymns.

He has worked with so many bands and artistes in Nigeria including Patty Band, Sharp Band, Shegele Band, Change Band, Gospel according to Jazz and Da exceptional band. He owns Thorpeedoh Band Entertainment.

GOD, Music and Me by Anu

“On July 7th, 2011 I released my first single “YOU ARE GOD” and officially stepped out as a Gospel Artist; I was so excited and glad that I obeyed God.  I set a plan for the following year to release my first Album. With that I was hoping in about 3 to 4 years, I would have finished about 3 Albums (I was so sure this plan would work out).  Several singles were release and God opened doors for my ministry through the years. Unfortunately, when it came to that journey of working on an Album, something somehow would always happen and my plans would freeze completely. I was wondering what was happening. Whenever I would arrive at different programs to minister, people would ask me about my Album. Feeling embarrassed, all I could say was, “I’m working on it…”, or “it should be coming out soon…”. I remember one evening, all I heard was “Wait, let me direct your path”, I knew straightaway that, that was what God had been saying to me for a while, but I did not pay attention to it.

“I immediately surrendered all plans and steps to God and let Him lead the way while I followed. I began my journey with God, and let me tell you, it was the best decision of my life! I am still enjoying today.

“As I continue to allow God to direct me, His blessings, and His divine favor follows me. I completed my two degrees in Nursing, and Health Care Administration, and through my music ministry, I met great mentors, who God use to groom, teach me, and build relationships in the music Industry. One of them is my beloved brother Mr. Victor Igbinigie.  I was made the Coordinator of Women of Africa in Music Ministry in the United States of America of which our president is Ms. Isabella Ogo-Uzodike is also my Mentor, my gorgeous glam mom. From there I became the Brand Ambassador for Vomoz Communications Inc., now known has The Vomoz Group, which is information, Communications and Technology (ICT) Company. I was later promoted to become their Director of Media/Public Relations at Vomoz Media. Through this great company, doors were opened for me to meet and interview distinguished African figures such as the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God worldwide: Pastor E.A. Adeboye, Global President for Winner’s Chapel Intl: Dr. Bishop David Oyedepo, the Honorable Babatunde Fashola – former Lagos State Governor, Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija – Africa’s wealthiest woman, and the Ooni of Ife: Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi; just to name a few. I was also able to showcase God’s property (Many Churches) through media, and allow people to see and learn great things about the house of God.

“God’s blessing did not stop there, on Dec 9th, 2016, Vomoz Communication bought me a Brand New Range rover sport 2017, with zero mileage, as my birthday gift, and blessing upon blessing kept on pouring in.

“I learn that every individual watch is totally different, because God is in charge of setting the time, and he will make sure that it fits according to his plan for us. Today after almost 7 years, I am happy to announce that my first Album “You Never Fail” is coming out and I will love you all to join me at the live recording Concert, and it is FREE.
